Australian-based Godfreys is recalling a dust cleaner because of the risk of electric shock, burns or electrocution.
It said the "turbo dust interceptor", model number 31300479 which has been sold in New Zealand since 2008, may contain unstable internal pins.
If the pins were dislodged it could cause electrocution in "rare circumstances", the company said.
Godfreys said that users should immediately cease using the machine and contact their nearest store for a full refund.
