Two preschoolers were rescued by firefighters after they were trapped in a hot vehicle in Dunedin yesterday.
Emergency services were called called to the intersection of Balmain and Colinsay Sts, Halfway Bush following reports a woman was unable to free two children from a parked vehicle, just before 11.30am.
A Fire Service spokeswoman said firefighters smashed a window in the locked vehicle to free the children, both aged under five.
