A High Court jury has retired to consider its verdict in the case of a Dunedin cleaner accused of murdering his supervisor.
Alexander James William Merritt denies the charge and is on trial at the High Court in Dunedin.
The Crown says the 21-year-old beat Karin Ann Ross to death outside Spotless Cleaning Services in December 2015.
But the defence says there's no evidence that Merritt was at the Strathallan St premises when the attack on the 51-year-old woman took place.
The jury retired about 12.10pm today after a summary from Justice Davidson.
