A Dunedin man will appear in court this morning for breaching bail after he was caught drink-driving more than two times over the legal limit at a time he was not meant to be out, or driving.
The man was caught driving at 4.20am today with a breath-alcohol level of 859 micrograms. The legal limit for adults is 400mcg.
He was not meant to be drinking, out that late, or driving because of his bail conditions, Constable Nils Barth told NZPA.
The man will appear in Dunedin District Court this morning charged with breaching bail.
Other charges are expected.
