The iD International Emerging Designer Awards will celebrate 10 years of supporting young talent in April, with the finalists for this year's competition just announced.
Selected by a panel including fashion designers Tanya Carlson and Margi Robertson of Nom*d, the international finalists come from as far as India and Croatia, with finalists from several New Zealand fashion schools also featuring.
Justine Tindley's collection was inspired by Franz Kafka's The Metamorphosis, utilising second hand garments to create new designs. The 41-year-old studied at Otago Polytechnic.
22-year-old Massey University graduate Lucilla Gray has already caught the eye of local stylists with her collection of digital textile prints in saturated colours, and is currently interning at Kate Sylvester.
Fellow finalist Sophia Hattingh, a 20-year-old AUT graduate, has also already found a place in the local fashion industry, working alongside Liz Mitchell as her design assistant.
