Burglars have vandalised the Royal Albatross Centre and stolen cash in an early morning raid on the popular wildlife attraction in Dunedin.
Two people broke into the centre at Tairora Head on Saturday morning, vandalising mobility scooters and smashing computers, Sergeant Steve Aitken said.
The pair forced open the tills and stole $600.
Police are reviewing CCTV footage of the attack, but are also appealing for help from the public.
Anyone with information should contact Dunedin police on 471-4800.
