Police have yet to decide whether charges will be laid after two Christchurch duckshooters at Tarras suffered facial injuries from shotgun pellets on the opening day of the duckshooting season on Saturday.
A pellet entered the eye of one man and the other received facial injuries. They were treated at Dunedin Hospital and discharged.
Sergeant Ian Kerrisk, of Alexandra, said police were satisfied alcohol was not a factor in the incident.
