A drunken reveller seriously injured after falling 9m from the landmark Cave Rock at Christchurch's seaside suburb of Sumner has been discharged from hospital.
The man, in his 20s, climbed onto the rocky outcrop with others late on Saturday night.
He then tried to leap from Cave Rock onto neighbouring shipping containers.
However, he missed the landing and fell 9m to the ground, emergency services said.
He was taken to hospital at about 11.30pm with serious injuries.
