A mother was using her 13-year-old son as her sober driver when police stopped her car in Kaitaia's main street on Tuesday night.
Described by police as very drunk, the 33-year-old Ahipara woman was arrested for disorderly behaviour after ignoring four warnings as she walked along the street swearing, and was taken into custody after "a bit of resistance."
