A drunk Kiwi teenager has been arrested after allegedly stealing the badge from a Mercedes in the Croatian town of Cavtat.
The 19-year-old holidaying on the Dalmatian coast was caught by police on Wednesday, news website Croatia Week reports.
After handing over the badge, the teenager then proceeded to make a scene by refusing to show his ID to officers and attempting to take the Mercedes sign back from police, the website reported.
The tourist was taken to the local police station and charged with disorderly behaviour.
