Drunk driver crashes into bar

Emergency services are at the corner of Great South Road and East Tamaki Road in Papatoetoe where a Holden Commodore car has crashed into a Bar. Several people have been injured including one man who has been taken to hospital with serious head injuries. Other have been treated by ambulance staff at the scene. Traffic lights were knocked over in the crash, exposing live wires. After the crash a fight is reported to have broken out between occupants of the car and bar patrons. Police have made several arrests. At the time of the crash Police were taking a 111 call from a member of the public concerned at the speed the car was travelling.
