Cannabis, methamphetamine, firearms and cash have been found on the rural property of a family member of a high-profile dead businessman.
Police raided the property about 20km south of Christchurch yesterday morning.
A middle-aged man was interviewed for several hours by detectives at the Christchurch Central police station. He is expected to face charges relating to possession of cannabis for supply, cultivating cannabis, possession of methamphetamine and firearms charges.
He is scheduled to appear in the Christchurch District Court on January 31.
Police were yesterday releasing few details of the raid near Lincoln but the Star has learned the firearms allegedly found included pistols.
