KEY POINTS:
The son of a wealthy Auckland businessman is facing drug, driving and dishonesty charges.
The unemployed 23-year-old, who has interim name suppression, has appeared before North Shore District Court in connection with events earlier this month.
The eight charges include possession of a pipe for smoking drugs, driving recklessly, failing to stop for police and possession of stolen property worth more than $1000.
When visited by the Herald on Sunday at his home, he refused to comment. "My dad advised me not to say anything. I'm moving soon... too much police and media attention."
