The mother of a 12-year-old girl who died after a road crash north of Auckland appeared in court this morning.
Bryer Greenwood died in hospital from traumatic brain injuries, caused by a two-vehicle crash on July 9 just north of Helensville.
Toni Ericksen, 32, is charged with causing death while driving under the influence of drugs, two counts of injuring while under the influence of drugs, and one count of being an unlicensed driver, driving while prohibited.
Today Ericksen made her first appearance in the Waitakere District Court for a plea inquiry hearing, and her lawyer said the charges would be strenuously denied.
Ericksen was remanded on bail until December 1.
