Police have decided not to charge the driver of a courier van that hit a toddler in a Flaxmere driveway.
Hastings Police Sergeant Clint Adamson said the police investigation into the incident was now complete.
"A decision has been made not to charge the driver. The family have been informed, they understand why the decision has been made and have no problem with that."
Georjah Heremaia, aged 17 months, was hit by the van in the driveway of her Flaxmere home on August 30.
She had managed to walk down the driveway without being seen while the Post Haste courier driver dropped off a package.
