Drivers fined for using Grafton Bridge bus lanes should fight Auckland City Council all the way to court, an Auckland lawyer says.
Shaurya Malaviya successfully argued against his $150 fine, and said that set a precedent.
He has set up a Facebook group on the issue: "Now they've waived my fine, I don't see why they shouldn't waive any fine," he said.
The council has indicated drivers ticketed before February 15, when signs warning cars are banned from the bridge during weekdays, were upgraded, will be given a "sympathetic" hearing.
The council has already waived 4000 fines.
