Napier teenager Ricky Moulder has had his day in court adjourned until October 26.
The 18-year-old survivor of an horrific crash three months ago in Windsor Ave, Hastings -- which took the lives of four of his friends -- was charged by police 10 days ago with unnecessary exhibition of speed during a night out with other young drivers.
He was to appear in Napier District Court today.
The charge carries a fine and up to six months' disqualification. His car has been impounded since the incident in which it is alleged he raced his car up behind an unmarked police car.
The Hastings crash, which left Moulder with severe head injuries, claimed the lives of Che Orbell-Pere, who was driving Moulder's turbo-charged car, Dylan Brittin, Alex Scales and Michael Jeffries, as well causing serious injuries to Jaddyn Brittin.
