A 19-year-old driver, trying to get away from police, ended up crashing into a property in New Plymouth early this morning.
Just after midnight, the man refused to stop when signalled by police, Constable Nelson Pulotu of New Plymouth police said.
He was driving at 70km in a 50km area.
The man led police on a short chase and ended up crashing between two properties on Bracken Street.
He crashed through a fence and landed at the front of one of the properties, said Mr Pulotu.
