KEY POINTS:
A Turangi man died yesterday morning when his car slid out of control and was hit by an oncoming truck.
Constable Mark Bond of Taupo said the 32-year-old man was travelling north on State Highway 1 in a Nissan Primera car when the accident happened about 5km north of Turangi.
He said the driver had lost control of the car as it entered a moderate bend.
