The driver accused of opening his car door, causing a cyclist to fatally swerve into the path of a truck in Auckland, has pleaded not guilty.
Glenn Hilton Becker, 35, briefly appeared in Auckland District Court today charged with careless use of a motor vehicle causing death.
British cyclist Jane Mary Bishop, 27, died when she was caught under the wheels of the passing truck on Tamaki Drive on the Auckland waterfront on November 17 last year.
