Three months to the day after Whiti Hepi crashed a car through Hamilton's Cobham Bridge killing three girls, he admitted three charges of manslaughter in Hamilton District Court.
Judge Denise Clark remanded Hepi, 21, on bail for sentencing in the High Court at Hamilton on July 14.
She ordered victim impact statements and probation reports be prepared and referred Hepi to a restorative justice conference with the victim's families before sentencing.
Sandra Tungia, 16, Kristen Armstrong, 14, and Hayley Forbes, 16, died in the February crash.
