A driver is on life-support in Waikato Hospital after being flung from her crashed car early this morning.
Police believe the woman, thought to be aged in her 20s, may have been drinking before the crash on Morrinsville-Walton Rd, south of Morrinsville, around 2am.
She was not wearing a seatbelt and it appeared she failed to take a bend in heavy fog and her Honda Integra left the road, went into a ditch, rolled and returned to the road.
The woman was "partially flung" from the car and suffered critical head injuries, police said.
She was found by a passing motorist who called emergency services.
Police were awaiting the results of a blood test to determine whether the woman had been drinking.
The serious crash unit was investigating.
