Police have named a 53-year-old who was killed in a car crash in Canterbury last week.
Neil Andrew Ellis, of Darfield, was the driver of a vehicle which is believed to have collided head-on with another vehicle near West Melton, about 5.30pm on Thursday.
The crash occurred on a straight stretch of road on State Highway 73 between Jowers and Chattertons roads.
Police said the driver of the other vehicle was treated at Christchurch Hospital and discharged later the same evening.
Both drivers were the sole occupants of the respective vehicles.
