The driver of a vehicle involved in a crash in Atiamuri on Thursday has died in hospital.
The 31-year-old was the driver of a car which collided with a 20-seater bus, at the intersection of State Highway 1 and State Highway 30 about 4.20pm on Thursday.
The driver died in Waikato Hospital yesterday.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
Taupo Area Road Policing Group Senior Sergeant Fane Troy said this was a sad reminder to ensure extra care should be taken when behind the wheel.
