Driver hits mum and baby

A driver who lost control last night in Rata Vine Drive, Wiri, hit a mother carrying her baby.

The woman and the 1-year-old were taken to Middlemore Hospital with minor injuries.

Senior Sergeant Kai Shao, of Counties Manukau, said police were still investigating but it was likely the driver would be charged with reckless or dangerous driving.
