The driver of this truck crawled out of the cabin after the vehicle flipped into a ditch when he lost control just out of Tinui.
The truck, a Palmerston North Transport Services vehicle, was carrying a portable stone crusher and police say it will take a crane to move it.
Senior Constable Harvey Pope said the driver, who was taken to Wairarapa Hospital, was "extremely lucky".
"If you look and see how much room he had to climb out it's quite amazing. He's a very lucky man when you look at the cab," Mr Pope said.
He did not think the driver had suffered any major injuries.
