Driver dies after truck rolls off highway

A truck driver is dead after his vehicle rolled off the Winter-Hedgehope Highway, near Browns, 32km northeast of Invercargill today.

Inspector Bob Palmer, of the police Southern Communications Centre, said police were advised of the crash about 10.50am.

He said it appeared only one vehicle was involved.

The police Serious Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
