Police have charged the driver of a vehicle in which a Taiwanese tourist was killed in a crash on Monday morning.
Yi-Chieh Feng was a passenger in a rental car that crashed on State Highway 6 in Westland.
Today police said the 31-year-old man driving the car, who was also from Taiwan but was not injured in the smash, has been charged with careless driving causing death.
He will appear in the Christchurch District Court next Wednesday
