Honda Jazz
The Honda Jazz has long been a brilliant car in terms of packaging, but that was really about it.
But now Honda has given us a new Jazz that retains all the clever packaging of previous models (the legendary "magic" rear folding seats are the highlight) butnow adds something the little Honda has previously lacked - some real character.
A modern, surprisingly aggressive design suits it immensely, and getting it out on the road reveals a surprising degree of enthusiasm from the engine and chassis.
Above all this, though, the Jazz remains a practical, roomy small car, capable of life in the slow lane.
What makes it a winner this year is that it is now something that we were beginning to think Honda had forgotten how to do - it is fun. And it is this fun-factor that makes the Jazz a winner.
