Gerald Innes prepares Share the Blame, a 5-year-old gelding that relishes heavy going and is certainly in with a real chance here too.
His last effort was on this track in mid-June, resulting in a close-up third behind winner Little Butterfly.
Trainer Roger Allen is another from Opaki who has been enjoying good success of late.
He has the Yeah Right Syndicate's mare Liv'n Paradise entered in the feature race, an open handicap over 1400m.
Liv'n Paradise is a last start winner, at Trentham in heavy going, and has drawn handy at gate 2.
Allen will line Bazinger up in race 9. The filly cleared maidens at Tauherenikau in an impressive display, getting the last run at them and just managing to get the better of Innes-trained Blame de Angels.
She steps up to 1600m tomorrow but there is no reason to think the extra distance will worry her at all.
The remaining Wairarapa runners all congregate in race 3 with no less than six locally trained runners vying to clear maidens.
Three are on the ballot though - Painted City, Wallace and Rapt in Gold.
Ian Wyeth has Mwaadan entered, Herb Renall has a first starter Tigger and Aaron Bidlake is giving Ceviche another outing.
The last named has shown some promise on the training track at Tauherenikau and her last start fifth was a sign she might not be too far away from breaking her duck.
Ceviche finished up midfield at Hastings but was doing her best work at the finish of the 1400m journey and could be on song over the slightly longer distance tomorrow.
Renall has paraded Tigger at two catchweight trials without placing but a watch on the tote would be the circumspect thing for punters to do.
Mwaadan has shown odd glimpses of form and definitely likes wet tracks so, given the right frame of mind and conditions, he could pop up and surprise many. Robbie Hannam takes the mount and knows his way round his home track.
