A man who murdered his aunt and uncle at Pamapuria in the Far North on May 19 will be sentenced in the High Court at Whangarei on September 18.
The date was set in the High Court today, without an appearance by Edwin Harvey Maheno, who admitted two charges of murder when he appeared in the District Court at Kaitaia on July 24.
Ivan Maheno died at the home where he, his wife Carmen and nephew lived, while Mrs Maheno died late that night at Whangarei Hospital.
Both had been shot twice with a .22 rifle.
