A 28-year-old man charged with the brutal murder of two young women in the Porirua suburb of Titahi Bay last month has been further remanded in custody.
Joseph Ogle made a brief appearance in Porirua District Court yesterday and was remanded to reappear on September 1.
The bodies of Joeline Rangimaria Edmonds, a 21-year-old mother of two, and Jashana Maree Robinson, 16, were found by police at Ms Edmonds' house in Morere Street on June 26.
Neighbours had contacted police after a man was seen running around outside the property, covered in blood.
Ms Edmonds' children, both aged under two, were in the house during the killings.
Ogle was also charged with breaching a protection order in respect of Ms Edmonds.
