A 'splash' page for Kim Dotcom's new file sharing website was overloaded when it went live this afternoon.
Dotcom, who is fighting extradition to the United States to face charges of internet piracy and fraud, this afternoon launched his new mega domain after megaupload was shut down earlier this year.
At the moment the page says "We promise, we deliver. Bigger. Better. Faster. Stronger. Safer.''
Dotcom took to Twitter shortly after noon to announce a countdown to the launch.
But when it went live at 1pm the site overloaded: "You crazy Mega fans haha....,'' he tweeted, adding: "All FBI agents pressing reload hahaha..... We see their IP addresses. LOL!!!''
