Global automotive executive Gerry Dorizas (pictured) has been appointed the new chairman and managing director of Holden.
Dorizas succeeds former CEO Mike Devereux, who was appointed General Motors (GM) vice-president, sales, marketing and aftersales late last year. Dorizas will be directly responsible for GM in Australia and New Zealand.
Dorizas says he is looking forward to his new role. "I am energised by the opportunity to lead a talented and passionate team to guide one of Australia's most iconic brands into its next phase." Dorizas has over 20 years experience in the industry including as president and CEO of Volkswagen sales India and Japan.
