Prime Minister Helen Clark will face intense scrutiny when Parliament resumes this week over her role in the case of former Police Commissioner Peter Doone.
Yesterday, the Herald on Sunday published revelations that Helen Clark urged the Sunday Star-Times to continue investigating Mr Doone in 2000 over a late-night driving incident.
Mr Doone, who was forced to resign from the top police job in January 2000 over the incident, plans to sue the Prime Minister for defamation.
