The charges against those arrested after the assault of a woman in Dome Valley have been upgraded to attempted murder.
Five people will appear in the North Shore District Court faced with a variety of charges, including attempted murder, assault with a weapon, kidnapping, sexual violation and aggravated robbery.
The charges come after a woman was found bound, gagged and unconscious on the side of the road in Dome Valley earlier this month.
Following her discovery on May 9, police used a photo of the woman's distinctive rose tattoo featuring the words 'Mum' and 'Dad' to it to appeal for help to identify her.
She has since been discharged from Auckland City Hospital after she was admitted in a serious condition.
