A second person has been arrested after three pit-bulls were allegedly set on two police officers called to domestic dispute in Dunedin, but the dogs have still not been found.
The constables, a male and a female, went to the Wynyard St, South Dunedin, house on Saturday after reports of a domestic incident.
As they went to arrest a male at the house, the three dogs were allegedly set on the officers who had to use pepper spray to ease the dogs' grip on their arms.
One constable was treated for five puncture wounds, and the other for three.
Acting Senior Sergeant Tania Baron said one of the officers was back at work yesterday, but the other's wounds were still too uncomfortable for the officer to return to work.
