Every dog has its day and tomorrow at Henley lake there will be many canines sharing a special day.
Dog Day Out starts at 1pm and goes through until 4pm allowing dog owners, both young and old, to gather and have a bit of fun with their dogs and to raise money for Wairarapa charities.
This year's Dog Day Out is catching up on one scheduled for last October but that had to be postponed due to bad weather and further put on hold until a summertime blue-green algae problem at Henley Lake abated.
A course round the lake will be comprised of activities - and obstacles - that dogs and dog owners can have fun trying to negotiate and there will be demonstrations by dog obedience schools, police dogs and sheep dogs.
The day, organised jointly by Masterton South Rotary Club and Henley Trust, will also promote Wairarapa Greyhounds, veterinarians and dog-related products.
