The five-year-old girl mauled by two dogs in the eastern Bay of Plenty last week has been discharged from hospital.
The girl suffered extensive injuries to her face and body when a pitbull and a staffordshire bull terrier attacked her at a neighbour's property in Taneatua, near Whakatane, on January 24.
Waikato Hospital plastic surgery specialist Adam Greenbaum led a team which performed 10 hours' surgery to repair the damage.
The dogs were destroyed.
