Tourists who've had their rental car agreements cancelled for dodgy driving could soon be blacklisted from hiring vehicles in New Zealand.
Crashes involving tourists have been under the spotlight in recent months.
Tourism Industry Association Advocacy Manager Steve Hanrahan says a number of agencies met in Queenstown yesterday to discuss the matter.
"We had a discussion about a regional information sharing network. There was a good discussion. There was support from everyone in attendance there."
Hanrahan says while accidents involving tourists make up little more than four per cent of the total number of road accidents nationwide, it's still an issue.
