Drivers are paying 30c a litre more for petrol than they were the last time crude oil prices were at yesterday's level - and economists say our fuel prices should come down substantially and soon.
Crude oil traded in Asia fell yesterday for the third day in a row, to US$73.20 a barrel, as investors ran for the exits in fear of a world recession.
That price was a 50 per cent drop from record highs in July.
