Hundreds of truckies descended on around 13 cities and towns from Whangarei to Invercargill in protests against the planned Road User Charges that began at 7am.
Outside Parliament in Wellington, Road Transport Forum chief executive Tony Friedlander said he did not know how Transport Minister Annette King would respond to the action but he would be "very happy to talk with her".
