Police are appealing for fresh information about a robbery that saw tens of thousands of dollars stolen from a pharmacy in the south Auckland suburb of Otara.
Recently released CCTV footage shows the two alleged offenders entering the pharmacy on Dawson Rd on October 11, after which one runs to the counter and steals a cash box being dropped off by security guards.
The guards pursued the offenders on to the street, but they escaped in a stolen Subaru Impreza after a brief struggle.
Counties-Manukau District Police spokeswoman Ana-Marie Gates-Bowey says it's unclear whether the robbery was planned or opportunistic.
She is appealing for anyone who saw a two-tone blue and silver Subaru Legacy with the numberplate EEN499 on October 11 to call Otara CIB on 09 272 0902.
