The array of certificates awarded to Edna suggest a very active, talented, and community-minded young woman:
• A home nursing certificate from the St. John's Ambulance Association.
• An Award of Merit from the Motueka Music Festival in 1938 for her vocal solo.
• An Award of Merit from the Nelson Competitions Society in 1940 for the girl's song under-16 section.
• A certificate from the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association, in 1939, for completing the 880 yards event.

Perhaps you know Edna's story?
