A woman who was so drunk she drove through a hedge at a fast food outlet early yesterday will take away a drink driving charge, police say.
Dunedin police were called to two separate drink driving incidents involving female drivers who had just left the drive-in at McDonald's in Andersons Bay Rd, Senior Sergeant Steve Aitken said.
A 30-year-old woman, who was pulled over at 2am, recorded a breath alcohol reading of 620mcg.
The legal limit is 400mcg.
In the second incident, a 23-year-old woman was charged with drink driving after she recorded a level of 955mcg.
