Wellington teenager Gabrielle Armstrong-Scott will not become the youngest New Zealander to compete at a Commonwealth Games after all.
The New Zealand Olympic Committee has admitted making an error in touting the diver as this country's youngest Games athlete in history when the Games start at New Delhi, India, on October 3.
Armstrong-Scott will be 14 years one month and four days old on that date. However, swimmer Monique Rodahl was 13 years, six months and 25 days when the Commonwealth Games began in Christchurch in 1974.
