A dive team is today searching an area near an Auckland motorway for property that belonged to murdered Chinese woman Xiukun Feng.
The divers were called as a result of Ms Feng's cellphone being found by a member of the public on a walkway next to the North-Western Motorway between Pt Chevalier and Patiki Rd.
Police spokesman Jayson Rhodes said other personal items that belonged to Ms Feng remained missing.
They included a black and gold Rado watch, a red Shiseido handbag and a key ring with a distinctive cat face.
Ms Feng, 54, also known as Nancy, was found dead on May 1 in a car in a carpark near the massage parlour she managed in New Lynn.
She had an injury to the head and police believe she might have been in the grey-gold Mitsubishi Eterna for more than 24 hours before a security guard discovered her body.
Police have appealed for information from the public, including the Chinese community and the massage parlour industry.
The case featured on the television programme Police 10-7 last night, and Mr Rhodes said there had been a good response from viewers.
"There have been a lot of calls and we are just working through that information."
