The search for a car which reportedly went missing in the Buller River will continue this afternoon.
Police confirmed the dive squad would resume its search mid-afternoon for the car and the missing occupants.
The result is expected to be known later this evening once the dive squad completes its search.
Witness reports on Saturday suggested the car went into the river at 4.50pm. It is unknown at this stage how many people were in the car.
An initial search was called off later that evening after no car or people were found. A scene guard stayed at the search location overnight, police said.
