Passenger services on a section of track in Auckland where a train derailed early yesterday morning will continue to run more slowly than usual for the next few days.
Two people were injured when a near-empty train, carrying only the driver and a train manager, came off the tracks near Westfield junction in Otahuhu just before 2am.
It disrupted services for most of the day, with the line reopening around 5pm.
Replacement bus services covered Transdev Auckland services from Otahuhu into central city.
When trains resumed they were operating at a reduced speed through the junction, and Transdev last night said this would continue until later in the week, when the line could be fully cleared.
