Two people were injured after a disqualified teen driver fled police and crashed into another car in Invercargill tonight.
Police said the 17-year-old driver of a Mitsubishi Lancer, who was carrying two passengers, ignored police requests to stop about 7.20pm.
The car took off at speed, travelling north on Rockdale Rd, before it collided with another vehicle at the intersection with Tweed St.
One of the fleeing car's passengers suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Southland Hospital.
The 49-year-old woman driving the other car was treated at the scene for minor injuries. She was later taken to hospital for further checks.
